Massage Therapy FAQ – The Blu Orchid Spa

1. Do I need to arrive early?
Yes. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete intake forms and begin your session relaxed and on time.

 

2. What should I wear to my massage?
Wear comfortable clothing. During the session, you may undress to your comfort level. You will always be professionally draped with sheets at all times.

3. Is massage therapy safe if I have a medical condition?
Massage is generally safe, but please inform your therapist of any injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, or medical conditions so we can adjust your service safely.

4. How often should I get a massage?
This depends on your goals.
• Stress relief: once a month
• Chronic pain/tension: bi-weekly or weekly
Your therapist can recommend a plan.

5. What if I’m running late?
Arriving late may shorten your session to respect the next client’s time. Full service fees still apply.

6. Do you offer couples massages?
Yes! Couples sessions are available and perfect for partners, friends, or special occasions.

7. Can I request a male or female therapist?
Absolutely. We want you to feel comfortable — you may note your preference when booking.

​

8. Should I tip my massage therapist?
Gratuity is appreciated but not required. Industry standard is 15–25% if you enjoyed your service.

9. What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We require advance notice (typically 24 hours). Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.

10. Do you accept walk-ins?

No We require a two hour notice
